To ensure compliance with legislation and insurance requirements, every commercial property has an obligation to have their
electrical installation inspected and tested at regular intervals.
All electrical installations deteriorate from wear and tear over a period of time. Therefore, testing was introduced in 1990 under
the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), to -
- Protect the general public from danger
- Ensure that all installations are of a good and safe condition.
- Conform to regulation 4(2) of the Electricity at Work Act (1989).
Graham Robertson Electrical will explain and help you through the whole process. We will plan a suitable time with you and carry out the inspection
and testing with minimal disruption to your working environment.
Once the testing is complete, you will receive Certificates of Safety for your records.
We will then notify you as and when the next inspection and testing should take place.
This varies with the type of premises – timescale indications
